Description of key information

QSAR model, AOPWIN v1.91, key data, validity 2:

Half-life in air = 0.083 days.

TBEP is therefore not considered as persistent in the air due to photo oxidation processes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
0.083 d

Additional information

A half-life is calculated using AOPWIN program v1.91 (US-EPA Syracuse Research). The half-life is calculated based on the atmospheric oxidation of tris(2 -butoxyethyl) phosphate by OH radicals. Considering an overall OH rate constant of 128.7102E-12 cm3/molecule-sec the half-life is calculated to be 0.083 days (about 1 hour).
