Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

OECD 203 limit study conducted according to GLP.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The key study for this endpoint was determined according to OECD 203 guidelines in a 96-hour, static, aquatic effects limit test using fathead minnows and conducted under GLP procedures. The exposure solutions were analyzed using gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC/FID). The exposure concentration reported was based upon the geometric means of the analyzed values of the test substance exposure solutions, averaged over the replicates. No mortality was observed in any of the control or test substance replicates. The 96-hour LC50 value for Pimephales promelas was determined to be >125.3 mg/L, the highest tested concentration. The NOEC was determined to be greater than or equal to 125.3 mg/L. A pre-GLP study is provided as a supporting study in which a single replicate limit test of 10 fathead minnow minnows was conducted at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L. No mortality was observed in that study.
