Description of key information

In a GLP compliant study conducted to OECD 105, the water solubility of the test material was determined to be less than 1.0 x 10 -4 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C (<0.1 mg/L).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study, Butler and White (2010), was assigned a reliability score of 1 and considered adequate for the use as the key study for this data requirement. The study was performed in compliance with GLP and in accordance with the guideline OECD 105.

Supporting studies included Steinhauser, 1985 and a estimated result from EPIWIN prediction software. The water solubility is given as 0.0012 mg/L for Steinhauser, 1985. However, the EPIWIN suite developed by Syracuse Research Corporation has not been validated for chemicals that contain metals in the molecular stucture; therefore, there is uncertainty associated with the calculated values and they should be used with caution. EPI Suite estimated the water solubility of the substance (at 25 deg. C) to be 4.767 x 10E-13 mg/l.
