Bioaccumulation in Freshwater

Sodium cocoyl glycinate (SCG) has a very low measured Log Kow of -0.2. According REACH Regulation 2006/1907/EEC Annex IX, Section 9.3.2, Column 2 a Bioaccumulation study in aquatic species need not to be conducted if the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (for instance a log Kow< 3).

For Exposure modelling the estimated BCF values from EUES were used: BCF fish 1.4 L/kg wwt and BCF worm 0.85 L/kg wwt (see also EUSES EXCEL Report in IUCLID Chapter 13).

Bioaccumulation in Terrestrial Compartment

Sodium cocoyl glycinate (SCG) has a very low measured Log Kow of -0.2. Therefore a Bioaccumulation study in terrestrial species need not to be conducted if the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (for instance a log Kow < 3).

For Exposure modelling the estimated BCF values from EUES were used: BCF fish 1.4 L/kg wwt and BCF worm 0.85 L/kg wwt (see also EUSES EXCEL Report in IUCLID Chapter 13).
