Description of key information

single dose LD50 oral > 2500 mg/kg b.w (OECD 423) and 20,800 mg/kg b.w. (OECD 401).
single dose LD50 dermal > 2000 mg/kg b.w.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Acute toxicity via the oral route was tested in two studies. In an OECD 423 the LD50 was determined > 2500 mg/kg b.w. and in an older study (OECD 401 type), with some deviations to today's guideline, the LD50 was reported as 20,800 mg/kg b.w . Acute toxicity via dermal route was determined to be > 2000 mg/kg b.w.

Justification for classification or non-classification

LD50 values for oral and dermal route > 2000 mg/kg/bw do not warrant classification according to the relevant criteria in the EU.
