First-aid measures

Inhalation: Take the person out to fresh air, rest and seek for medical attention. In case of unconsciousness place

patient stably in side position for transportation.

Contact with skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower for at least 15 minutes. Refer for medical attention.

Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention. .

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer immediately for medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Use Water spray, powder , foam or carbon dioxide as extinguishing media. Firefighter should be equiped with selfcontained

breathing equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal protection: particulate filter respirator adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance, protective gloves, safety goggles. Sweep spilled substance into plastic containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Wash away remainder with plenty of water.

Handling and storage

Separated from strong oxidants, food and feedstuffs . Dry. Well closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Inhalation: Local exhaust ventilation, or use respiratory protection with 90% efficiency.

Skin: use suitable gloves (Nitrile, Neoprene, Natural rubber, Polyvinyl

chloride, natural rubber: Permeation Breakthrought > 360). Protective clothing.

Eyes: Face shield or eye protection.

Stability and reactivity

On contact with hot surfaces or flames this substance decomposes forming formic acid and carbon monoxide. The solution in water is a medium strong acid. Reacts violently with strong oxidants causing fire and explosion hazard. Reacts with some silver compounds to form explosive silver oxalate. Attacks some forms of plastic.

Disposal considerations

Must not be disposed together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage

system.
