Description of key information

The substance has very low bioaccumulation potential (predicted log BCF ≤0.5). The bioaccumulation potential of representative components of the UVCB substance was evaluated using three quantitative structure activity relationship (QSAR) models: EPI Suite BCFBAF, OASIS Catalogic and VEGA CAESAR. Model predicted BCF values range from 0.09 to 3.16 (or logBCF values range from -1.02 to 0.50) for those three representative components. The logPow values for potential biodegradation products predicted using QSAR models were all ≤3 indicating that potential degradants also have low bioaccumulation potential. Considering that the substance has low log Pow (log Pow ≤3) and has very low predicted bioaccumulation potential (predicted log BCF ≤0.5), a laboratory bioaccumulation study is waived.
