Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One experimental study investigating the short-term toxicity of Reaction mixture of Glycerol 1,3- di(acetate), glycerol acetate and triacetin to marine fish is available (Manley, 2002).

The study was conducted according to “Paris Commission (PARCOM, 1995). Protocol for a Fish Acute Toxicity Test. Oslo and Paris Commission Protocol.” (GLP) using the turbot Scophthalmus maximus. Five concentrations up to 1000 mg/L (nominal) were tested in a semi-static exposure regime. The maximum concentration of 1000 mg/L did not result in any mortality after 96 h. Therefore, a LC50 of > 1000 mg/L was derived.
