Ready biodegradability: readily biodegradable

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
readily biodegradable

Additional information

Ready biodegradability has been investigated in a DOC-die away test according to EU test methods. Hexahydrophthalic anhydride was found to be readily biodegradable.

The biodegradability of the acid degradation product was estimated using the software BIOWIN v4.10.The results indicate that hexahydrophthalic acid is expected to be readily biodegradable.
