Conclusion

The flash point of the test item was 102.0°C ± 1.0°C (corrected value).

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
A flash point of 102.0 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Flash point: 102 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa (ISO 3679)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
102 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point of 102.0 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a rapid equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with ISO Test Method 3679 and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.

In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, flash point of 99°C was reported for the substance.

A flash point of 102°C at 1013 hPa with a measured boiling point of 222.1°C at 97.5 kPa, indicates that the substance should not be classified for flammability according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
