Description of key information

The flash point for the substance was not investigated. However, for the reference substance "C16-18-(even numbered, C18-unsaturated)-alkylamines" the flash point was determined to be 165°C at atmospheric pressure acc. to EU A.9. method.
Literature data from safety data sheet is presented additionally.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
165 °C

Additional information

Literature source (safety data sheet) state flash points around 159°C for "Amines, Tallow alkyl" and 168°C for "Amines, hydrogenated tallow alkyl". Original references or methods applied were not stated. The study used as the key study was performed according to the guideline A.9. using "Amines, tallow alkyl" as a test substance and was therefore assumed to be the most reliable source. The flash point was determined to be 165°C at atmospheric pressure (read across to C16-18-(even numbered, C18-unsaturated)-alkylamines)
