Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

For classification purposes ecotoxicity, biodegradability and bioconcentration have to be considered.

Ecotoxicity:

Aquatic acute toxicity data of the registered substance are available for the three trophic levels and are summarised here below :

- 96h-LC50 for fish = 18.57 mg/L (time-weighed mean measured concentrations

- 48h-EC50 for invertebrates = 30 mg/L (nominal concentrations as measured concentrations in the range of 80 -120%)

- 72h-ErC50 for algae = 48 mg/L (geometric mean measured concentrations)

- 72h-NOErC for algae = 8.7 mg/L (geometric mean measured concentrations)

Biodegradability:

The substance is rapidly biodegradable in the environment as demonstrated with an OECD TG 301 C (Modified MITI Test (I). The biodegradation percentage was 96% after 14 days.

Bioconcentration:

Based on the LogKow = 2.86, the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation.

Conclusion classification according to CLP regulation 1272/2008:

Based on the results of the acute toxicity data (lowest LC50 = 18.57 mg/L), the substance does not need acute classification.

Based on the results of the acute toxicity data (lowest LC50 = 18.57 mg/L) and the chronic data for algae (NOEC = 8.7 mg/L), the substance does not need chronic classification.
