Additional information

The substance Pentamethyldiethylentriamine can be regarded as not biodegradable under the test condition according to experimental results of ready and inherent biodegradability tests. The Chemical Safety Assessment did not indicate the need to investigate further the effects of the substance on sediment organisms and simulation testing on ultimate degradation in surface water or sediment. There are no direct releases to the soil. Potential indirect exposure of soil is considered to be negligible.

Sufficient information exists to draw conclusions for each of the three regulatory endpoints: environmental hazard classification, PBT/vPvB assessment and exposure assessment for use in risk characterisation, thus no further study is being proposed.
