Description of key information

Sodium ferrocyanide has no melting temperature up to 400°C. No melting up to 400°C was observed in the differential scanning calorimetry study performed in accordance with EC A.1, OECD 102 and EPA OPPTS 830.7200 and in compliance with GLP. Loss of water from the test substance was observed at temperatures of > 50°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Decomposition temperature: 435°C (Handbook data: Merck & Co, Monograph number 8760, Sodium Ferrocyanide)
