Description of key information

After emission or evaporation to air the product is expected to be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes. In water, isobornyl acrylate is biodegradable and non persistent, shown in an extended OECD 301F (73.9% biodegradation in 60 d). In contrast, abiotic degradation by hydrolysis is not expected to play a major role – the substance is predicted to be stable at pH 7 and pH 8 (computer modelling). The overall information available showes that isobornyl acrylate is not persistent in the environment.
