Conclusion on classification

The short-term toxicity studies with algae, daphnia and fish resulted in LC50 or EC50-values above 10 mg/l. This LC or EC value requires a classification applying risk phrase R52. As linalool is readily biodegradable, and log Kow is below 3, risk phrase R53 does not apply. Therefore linalool is not classified as dangerous for the aquatic environment according to the criteria outlined in Annex I of 1272/2008/EC and Annex VI of 67/548/EEC.
