The half-life for HHCB in activated sludge was 21 h and 85%
disappeared in 150 hours. Between day 1-8, HHCB-lactone
accounted for 40% of the original radioactivity. After 27
days, 45% of the radioactivity was due to the second
metabolite, maybe hydrocarboxylic acid. In river water, the
half life for HHCB was 33h. After 300h about 40% was lost
via volatilisation. 60% of the radioactivity was found
connected to polar metabolites after 28 days.
