A reliable (Klimisch 1) degradation study according to OECD 301B guideline (CO2 evolution) for 2-ethylhexanoic acid, zirconium salt shows 46.5% and 73.8% degradation of the organic moiety of the test substance after 10 and 28 days, respectively. It is therefore concluded that 2-ethylhexanoic acid, zirconium salt is readily biodegradable, but failing the 10 days window.
