Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

According to a Mackay Level I model calculation the main target compartments for the substance will be the hydrosphere (87.6 %) and atmosphere (11.7 %). The calculated Henry’s law constant of 0.38 Pa m3/mol indicates evaporation from surface waters within several days. With a calculated Koc of 77 l/kg the sorption potential to soil or sediment organic matter is expected to be low.

In the atmosphere, the substance is rapidly removed by reaction with ozone with an estimated half-life of 23 minutes. The calculated half-life for photodegradation by reaction with OH radicals is 16 h. The substance can be considered to be readily biodegradable. In surface waters, the main removal mechanisms are expected to be biodegradation and volatilization. Photolytical degradation in surface waters is expected to be of minor importance. Furthermore, hydrolytic degradation is not to be expected. Experimentally determined BCF values below 10 l/kg indicate a low bioaccumulation potential.
