Additional information

The members of the category are gases and partition predominantly to the atmosphere, so experimental data for their biodegradation in water are not appropriate. The substances in the category are considered to be readily biodegradable on the basis of QSAR estimates from Biowin and BioHCwin. The substances in the category are not expected to partition from water to sediment or soil (low log Kow <3) and therefore biodegradation in these compartments are not relevant endpoints.
