Additional information

No skin irritation was observed in guinea pigs after 24- or 48-hour exposure to concentrations of 30% and 3%. The test substance produced moderate ocular effects, including generalized slight corneal cloudiness, moderate iritis, and moderate conjunctivitis in an unwashed eye; and generalized slight corneal cloudiness, moderate iritis, and mild conjunctivitis in an eye washed after application

Justification for classification or non-classification

The test substance did not produce skin irritation, but produced moderate ocular effects in rabbits. The substance should be classified as Xi; R36: Irritating to eyes according the EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
