- Details on results:
- BIOLOGICAL RESULTS
No mortality in the control and the only test concentration of 1000 mg/L. 3 hours after the start of the test all fishes in the test concentration showed different behavior. Symptoms were reversible within the next 3 hours.
ANALYTICAL RESULTS
Concentration < LOD (1.1 mg/L)
Tin tetrachloride precipitated after hydrolysis as Tin(IV)oxide and sedimented
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Validity criteria fulfilled:
- yes
- Conclusions:
- Tin tetrachloride did not induce acute toxic effects in Brachydanio rerio at a concentration of 1000 mg/L.
- Executive summary:
The effects of Tin tetrachloride on Brachydanio rerio were investigated in an acute fish toxicity test with static desing at a limit dose of 1000 mg/L according to OECD 201 under GLP. The control was valid. Tin tetrachloride did not induce acute toxic effects in Brachydanio rerio at a concentration of 1000 mg/L.
