Description of key information

The test item is not highly flammable at ambient conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

The test item is partially solid at room temperature. Therefore, the methods for the determination of the flammability of solids are not suitable. The flash point was determined with an equilibrium closed-cup method (Setaflash).

The flash point is 112 °C at 1013 hPa. The test item is not highly flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The flash point of the test item is 112 °C at 1013 hPa (see section 4.11).

The boiling range of the test items is in total 60 °C to 360 °C (see section 4.3).

Therefore, the test item is not highly flammable and does not have to be classified for flammability according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 or DSD. There are no impurities identified by any of the consortium members that would lead to changes within the classification of the submission substance.
