Additional information

Both main constituents of the submission substance (BHMT and HMD) were assessed separately for biodegradability and proved to be readily biodegradable with total nitrification within 28 days and meeting the 10-day window requirement. The reliable (RL category 1) ready biodegradability tests (Closed bottle tests, OECD 301 D) were performed under GLP. Further biodegradation studies are neither available nor necessary. As impurities, as far as chemically identified, belong mainly to the same class of chemicals, aliphatic amines, similar environmental behaviour and rapid biodegradation is expected for them.
