Description of key information

Additional information

The test substance is a dark red powder. The melting point was determined to be higher than 300°C, therefore the boiling point, vapour pressure, and flash point could be waived. The density at 22°C is 1760 kg/m3 with a mass median diameter of 333 µm and a calculated partition coefficient between n-octanol and aqueous phase of ca.-10 (log Pow). The water solubility of the test substance is 332 g/L at 20°C and the fat solubility is lower than 0.05mg/100g fat at 37°C. The surface tension of aqueous solution at 20°C lies between 61.1 - 69.0 mN/m at a concentration of 1 g/L and between 38.9 - 43.1 mN/m at a concentration of 10g/L. No auto flammability is observed between room temperature and 400°C and the test substance is not highly flammable, not explosive and has no oxidizing properties and is thermally stable. Classification of the test substance is not needed according to the Directive 67/584/EEC and according to the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
