Tetrapotassium pyrophosphate is an inorganic substance, biodegradation studies are not applicable. There are a number of studies indicating that under natural conditions hydrolysis to orthophosphate is the primary route of degradation (see IUCLID section 5.1.2). No further testing is deemed to be necessary.
