Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

As the result of a LLNA test performed in mice according to OECD Guideline 429, dicumyl peroxide was found to be not sensitising. The simulation index for cell count did not exceed the threshold of 1.4, when tested at concentration up to 50% (25 µL/ear).

Migrated from Short description of key information:
Dicumyl peroxide was found to be not sensitising to skin.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:
Migrated from Short description of key information:
No data regarding repiratory sensitisation are available.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of reliable studies classification of dicumyl peroxide as sensitizing to skin is not warranted based on EU regulation 1272/2008.
