Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
no guideline required
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The oxidising properties were predicted based structural considerations rather than by formal testing using Method A17 / A21 of Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008. Screening procedures represent an intelligent testing strategy (ITS) for oxidising properties. In accordance with the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment, if ITS is applied correctly to the oxidising properties endpoint, only substances for which it is suspected will give a positive result in one of the oxidising properties tests need to be tested.

Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

A review of the structure suggests that there are no chemical groups present that would imply oxidising properties.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: no oxidising properties
Remarks:
Migrated information
Conclusions:
A review of the structure suggests that there are no chemical groups present that would imply oxidising properties.
Executive summary:

Based on the known chemical and physical properties of the substance and its chemical structure, a negative result is predicted for the A17 / A21 Oxidising Properties (solids / liquids) test of Council Regulation (EC) No 440/2008. As such it is considered justified to omit the test.
