Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a OECD301F (manometric) study with 9% mineralisation at 28 days was observed. In three inherent tests, mineralisation was ranging from 20-36% after 28 days.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

Biodegradation screening tests in water are available for NLP3. It can be concluded from the available screening tests that NLP3 exhibits inherent (primary) biodegradability, and is therefore not expected to persist indefinitely in the environment

In an OECD 301F (manometric ready biodegradability) study with NLP3 9% mineralisation after 28 days was observed based on oxygen consumption (Bayer, 1993). NLP3 exhibited inherent (primary) biodegradability in OECD 302/302B, EU C.4.D/C.9; mineralisation was ranging from 20 -36% after 28 days based on DOC removal (Bayer AG, 2002).
