Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

A read-across analysis based on grouping of substances (category approach)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To support the statement that the test material does not contain hydrolysable groups, a read across analysis was performed using the QSAR toolbox. The BADGE amine adduct was profiled for 'organic functional groups' and substances that contain any of the groups in the unknown were selected (i.e. categorisation based on 'organic functional groups' combined with 'or'). From this category substances that contain any functional groups other than the ones in the unknown were removed (e. g. esters or epoxides). The remaining subcategory contains all functional groups present in the unknown, but no other. A trend analysis was performed using the calculated water solubility as an descriptor. Selected values were removed manually because the toolbox could not deal with the reporting format. Results reported as '> x' are dealt by the toolbox as 'x'. Few results were reported as e. g. '>3' or '>30'. Those were removed. The remaining data showed consistently hydrolysis half-life >360 days.
