A measured flash point of 91.0 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a rapid equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with ISO 3679 Test Method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.

The key value is supported by other flash point values of 101°C and 126°C which were determined for the substance using relevant closed-cup methods.

In other available secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, flash point values of 90°C, >93.4°C and >100°C were reported for the substance.

Differences in flash point obtained could be due to differences in the purity of the commercial samples tested and the test method used.

A flash point of 91.0 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa with a predicted boiling point of 240°C at 1013 hPa indicate that the substance should not be classified as a flammable liquid according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
