The lowest auto-ignition temperature was found to be around 232 °C (observed value) with volumes of 150 µL, 170 µL and 190 µL.

As the auto-ignition lag was the fastest for the volume of 190 µL, the main test was conducted using this volume.

Conclusion

The auto-ignition temperature of the test item was 231 ± 3°C (corrected temperature).

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature value of 231 ± 3°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Auto-ignition temperature: 231 ± 3°C at 1013 hPa (EU Method A.15)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
231 °C

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature value of 231 ± 3°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.

In a secondary source to which reliability could not be assigned, an auto-ignition temperature value of 220°C at 1013 hPa was reported for the substance.
