Description of key information

The 72 hour NOErL is 20.7 mg/L WAF and the 72 hour ErL50 is 75.6 mg/L WAF.

The calculated EC50 was determined to be in the range 1.6 - 16.3mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
1.6 mg/L

Additional information

A QSAR was used to calculate the expected toxicity of eleven representative components of the streams in the category. The calculated acute effect concentrations for invertebrates were 1.6-16.3 mg/L. The QSAR results for the representative components are presented here so support the available experimental data on the streams but for determining the classification and labelling of the streams in the category, the classifications of the component substances have been taken from the CLP inventory.
