Conclusion on classification

Classification, Labeling, and Packaging Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008

The available data are considered reliable and suitable for classification purposes under Regulation 1272/2008. The UVCB substance is of very low water solubility (< 0.005 mg/L).

Acute L(E)C50 values of Daphnia and algae are > 100 mg/L and no effects were observed in a chronic toxicity test with fish (in absence of acute toxicity data with fish),

Chronic data on three trophic levels are available showing toxicity in only one species above the criterion for chronic toxicity (ELR10 >1mg/L). The log Pow is > 4 and the BCF experimentally determined with a constituent (CAS 27177 -41 -9) which represents the worst case scenario concerning bioavailability and bioaccumulation is > 500 (BCF411 to 1730). Based on these data and the lack of degradability the substance is not classified for environmental hazards under Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
