Description of key information

The water solubility of sulphamidic acid was experimentally determined by flask method with titration to be 181.4 g/L at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
181.4 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A saturated solution of sulphamidic acid was prepared and kept for 3 days at 20 °C. Each day 2 titrations were performed from the supernatant solution to determine the water solubility and the average of 6 measurements in total was reported as water solubility. No change of water solubility over time was observed and the solution remained clear and bright over the entire period of the experiment.
