Additional information

At pH values relevant for the environment, (pH 4 -9), Bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')calcium is largely dissociated to pentane-2,4-dione (99.9% to 12.2%), and calcium is a natural constituent of the environment and is not considered relevant for hazard assessment. Thus, data from pentane-2,4-dione are used and converted to equivalent values for Bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')calcium using the molecular weights.

Substance is readily biodegradable and the existing chronic data (chronic algae: 72 hr NOEC = 7.62 mg/L; chronic Daphnia magna: 21 days NOEC = 42.8 mg/L). Using the criteria in Table 4.1.0(b)(ii) results in no classification

Acute data:

Substance is readily biodegradable and the lowest acute value (48 hr EC50 Daphnia: 61.64 mg/L). Using the criteria in Table 4.1.0(b)(iii) results in no classification
