Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life in air:
14.4 h
Degradation rate constant with OH radicals:
0 m³ molecule-1 s-1

Additional information

The absolute and relative rate constants from the reaction of hydroxyl radicals with the test substance 2-ethoxyethanol have been determined. The average value is 19.3 x 10^(-12) cm³/(molecule*sec) and the calculated half-life time 14.4 h (assuming an average OH radical concentration of 10^6 molecules/cm³).
