Any other information on results incl. tables

In contact with the ignition source, a strong red glowing of beryllium metal powder was observed which turned into a bright glowing circle after 4 minutes. Once the bright circle extinguished, a white residue remained, the rest of beryllium metal powder remained unchanged.

Beryllium metal powder could not be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test (contact time of about 5 minutes).

Therefore, no main test was performed.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Based on the results of this study, beryllium metal powder would not be considered as "highly flammable" according to the criteria of the guideline.
Executive summary:

The determination of the flammability of the test item was performed in accordance with the Council Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, 30 May 2008, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A. 10 “Flammability (solids)”.

In contact with the ignition source, a strong red glowing of beryllium metal powder was observed which turned into a bright glowing circle after 4 minutes.
