Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two available studies are relevant to this information requirement, with only the study of Gersich et al. (1988) being suitably reliable for use in the chemical safety assessment. This study reports a 21-d flow-through reproduction toxicity test with Daphnia magna conducted in accordance with an in-house SOP of the Dow Chemical Company and GLP. The study reported a 21-d NOEC of 0.17 mg/L for both reproduction and mortality and will be used as a key study in the freshwater aquatic hazard assessment. The 21 -day NOEC value (reproduction) of 0.13 mg/L, reported by Ministry of Environment-Japan, is in good agreement with the Key Study. However, the reliability of this study cannot currently be assessed. No reliable studies were identified on saltwater species.
