Results and discussion
Any other information on results incl. tables
8 hours exposure to diphenyl vapor at room temperature was not lethal to rats. These animals gained weight well in the 14 day observation period.
Similarly a group of 6 rats survived at 8 hour exposure to a mist produced by aerating the diphenyl while it was heated at 170°C.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Under the conditions of the study, 8 hours of exposure to diphenyl (substantially saturated vapor at room temperature and mists generated at 170 °C) were not considered to be lethal.
