Additional information

The Yeast extract, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, is readily biodegradable, fulfilling the 10-day window, according to the OECD 301B, modified Sturm test ( > 80% degradation after 29 days) and the OECD 310, headspace test (72% biodegradation after 28 days), both tests being performed under GLP. The test OECD 310 was requested by ECHA in the decision number CCH-D-000000482121 -76 -02/F because ECHA considered that the OECD 301B method was not suitable due to the relatively high vapor pressure of the substance. The ready biodegradability obtained in the OECD 301B test was confirmed in the additional OECD 310 test.
