Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Potassic extracts is a multiconstituent substance with three simple organic salts as main constituents (i.e. potassium sulfate, sodium sulfate and calcium sulfate). The environmental fate and behaviour of potassic extracts is therefore assessed based on the properties of its three constituents.

The main constituents of potassic extracts completely dissociate into ions in water and are not susceptible to photodegradation in air , water and soil. Due to their inorganic nature, standard biodegradation testing systems are not applicable.

Based on their high water solubility and their ionic nature, they are not expected to adsorb onto soil and sediment or bioaccumulate in aquatic organisms.
