Details on results:
The mean nitrate formation rates were 6.1 mg No3/kg dry soil/d in untreated controls, 5.8 mg/kg/d in soils treated with DBDPEthane adn 0.3 mg/kg/d in soils treated with the positive control substances. Soils treated with 2500 mg/kg DBDPEthane showed 5.9% inhibtion compared with untreated controls. Soils treated with 500 mg/kg positive control substance showed 95.0% inhibition in the rate of nitrate formation compared to controls.
