Description of key information

In a study according to OECD test guideline 207 under GLP, the acute toxicity LC50 of the test substance to Eisenia fetida was determined to be 1032.1 mg/kg soil (NOEC = 562 mg/kg soil).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for soil macroorganisms:
1 032.1 mg/kg soil dw
Long-term EC10, LC10 or NOEC for soil macroorganisms:
562 mg/kg soil dw

Additional information

One reliable study of the acute toxicity to soil macroorganisms of the registered substance is available. In this study the acute toxicity LC50 of to the earthworm Eisenia fetida was determined to be 1032.1 mg/kg soil.

Due to the short half-life (<6.5h) in soil, long-term exposure to soil macroorganisms will not occur. Consequently, the respective toxicity study is not justified and is therefore not proposed.
