Additional information

The evaluation of the acute toxicity of the substance is based on two studies on two salts of naphthalenesulphonic acid. In a study performed according to DIN 38 412, part L15 Leuciscus idus were exposed to 1-NSA sodium salt. The test was performed in a static system and was terminated after 96 hours. Based on the mortality of test fish an LC50 of 5300 mg/l was determined (BASF AG, 1989). In a second test follwing DIN 38 412, part L15 L. idus were exposed to beta-ammoniumsalt. After 96 hours of exposure a LC50 >464 - < 1000 mg/l was recorded (BASF AG, 1990)
