Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Four species representing three different levels in the aquatic food chain were tested. For the short term tests water accommodated fractions (WAF) of14C-labeled OTNE were prepared: the treatment solutions were stirred for 20 hours and left to settle for one hour. The water fractions were used in closed test vessels with minimal headspace. For the longer term tests flow-through systems were usedwith14C-labeled OTNE dissolved in acetone. Blank and solvent controls were included. The actual concentrations were measured using Liquid Scintillation Counting (LSC). The results were expressed based on the measured concentrations. The results for micro-organisms are taken from the biodegradation test.
