2,2-Dimethlypropane-1,3-diol is readily biodegradable in the aquatic environment. Furthermore, as direct exposure to soil is not expected and a Mackay LEVEL 1 distribution model calculation clearly identified water to be the main compartment for distribution and therefore a test on biodegradation in soil is not provided.
