Studies of the end points 6.3.1. - 6.3.4. were waived, because these studies are scientifically unjustified. FMMVF fibres are highly insoluble in water and they have low potential for adsorption to soil and for crossing biological membranes. In conclusion, it is evaluated that FMMVF fibres will have no toxic effects on soil macroorganisms, terrestrial arthropods, terrestrial arthropods and terrestrial arthropods.
The end-point 6.3.5 study is waived based on an adaptation according to column 2 of Annex X, 9.6.1. The large mammal dataset presented in this dossier is taken into account and it is concluded that FMMVF fibres have no toxic effects on birds and testing is not necessary.
