Additional information

The self-ignition temperature of heavy fuel oils ranges from 220°C to 550°C. CONCAWE (2010a) reported a self-ignition temperature range of 250°C

to 537°C for heavy fuel oils. The self-ignition temperature was determined using the ASTM E 659 test method. Additionally, a range of 220°C to 300°C was reported by CONCAWE (1998).
