Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- In the test conditions, the viscosity (dynamic) of sodium hypophosphite in solution at 810 g/L is between 19 and 23 mPa.s (average 21 mPa.s)
- Executive summary:
Viscosity of solution of sodium hypophosphite (ie: hypophosphorous acid solutions) was measured with rotational viscometer in a thermostated bath at 20 °C and calibrated with millipore water (0.001 Pa.s). 6 lots at commercial concentration of 810 g/L have been tested plus one additional sample at a concentration of 50%.
No more data are given in the study report.
Dynamic viscosity was between 19 and 23 mPa.s (average at 21 mPa.s) at 810 g/L and 3 mPa.s at 50% in concentration.
As documentation is insufficient for assessment this study is considered as not assignable.
